The Space Shuttle
The Space Shuttle, created in 1981, was first used by NASA. The thought of a type of Spacecraft that could be used over and over intrigued NASA. Overall, five Space Shuttles were launched: Columbia, Challenger, Discovery, Atlantis, and Endeavour. Challenger and Columbia were both lost during spaceflight tragedies.
